Abstract
|
|
Ms.
Zhu Minfang and Mr. Len Russ, a Chinese woman
and an American man, living under different cultural
and social backgrounds, both gave up their careers
to open nursing homes for the elderly.
|
|
What's
the motivation behind their choices? What special
challenges and difficulties do they face in their
nursing careers? Do they have emotional setbacks
when facing the aging, demanding, and occasionally
ill residents? Are they content with their decisions
to pursue careers in this industry? Do they get
social recognition and economic reward while devoting
wholeheartedly to this career?
|
|
"Meet
China" will explore the answers to these
questions, and allow for its viewers to listen
to the guests' amazing stories as they share experiences
between each other in front of audiences around
the world. During the program, the viewers will
also have the chance to understand the lives of
some elderly residents living in China and U.S.
nursing homes.
